If you have any questions about the store or the website, please feel free to call us at 406-446-2742 or use our email form.
We've been Red Lodge's (very) independent bookstore since 1986, and books remain the majority of our business. In the store, we sell a wide variety, ranging from bestsellers to children's books but with a focus on nature, outdoor, and local-oriented books. Online, our book sales are almost exclusively local books, so that's what we've put our efforts into for this new site. There may only be a couple of hundred books on the website, but there are thousands in stock!
Over the last couple of years, we've noticed that the majority of purchases from our website have been tea, so our 2014 site redesign puts the focus on tea. We also carry a lot of other tea-related items in the store, including infusers, pots, kettles, cups, travel mugs, tea sets, tea books, teabags, tea storage, tea-infused bath products, gaiwans, pu-erh knives, and much more.
We also serve soft Bavarian pretzels in the store, including our giant 24-ounce Big Sky Jumbo pretzel.
We have a great selection of toys and tabletop games in our store, but only a few are up on the website at this time. We're working on getting them online. Thanks for your patience!
Wednesday night is GAME NIGHT at Red Lodge Books & Tea. We have demo versions of a variety of the games we sell, including Settlers of Catan, Pandemic, Fluxx, Pandemic, Ticket to Ride, Dixit (one of our favorites), Tenzi, Timeline, Cardline, Munchkin, and Zombie Dice. Come on by to learn a game, watch people play, or just get involved and play one!
We keep the tea bar open on game nights so you can stay well fed (a giant pretzel feeds four people -- or one very hungry teenager!) and well-caffeinated.
Red Lodge Books & Tea has developed the reputation of being the place to go in Red Lodge for fine cigars, pipe tobacco, e-cigs, vape supplies, and hookahs. For various reasons -- including the punitive Montana state tobacco tax -- we are not selling those on the website.
