Beartooth Publishing

Product Picture

Beartooth Publishing publishes topographic trail maps and guidebooks designed for outdoors addicts.

All of these maps are printed on waterproof, tear resistant plastic. They show national forest roads, trails, and recreation sites such as trailheads, campgrounds, picnic areas, and fishing access sites. They believe art is a major component of cartography, so they strive to make gorgeous maps. They think a map should first be accurate, but also beautiful enough to inspire the reader to fantasize about their upcoming adventures.

Red Lodge Books is a USGS Partner, and we carry the BLM maps for the area in addition to the USGS quad maps. The BLM maps are 1:100,000 scale paper maps. They show ownership of land through different color codes for private, BLM, state-owned, Forest Service, National Park, and so on, making them excellent maps for hunters.

This waterproof, tear-resistant map from MapMurals includes all of the roads in the county in bold dark print, with topographical information in lighter print. An indispensable resource for anyone driving around in rural Carbon County.

These wonderful fishing maps are made out of a waterproof, tearproof paper that can survive being dropped in the lake, being folded and refolded, and carried around in a pants pocket. They cover the same area as eight USGS 15 minute topo maps, with the same basic topographical information. In addition, they include fishing information for each lake, including the species of fish and the stocking schedule.
