  Lynn wrote the spy thriller, Mission to Chara.

  Jim wrote a classic science fiction story, which was endorsed by Anne McCaffrey.

  John writes non-fiction with a rural and historical focus.
• Jacqueline Elliot
  Jacqueline writes supernatural romance stories, one of which is set in the Billings area.
• Gary Ferguson
  Gary is a Red Lodge nature writer. His book Hawks Rest, won both the PNBA and MPBA book awards. His newest book, Great Divide: A Biography of the Rocky Mountains, is now available in trade paperback.
• Nita Ferguson
  Nita's memoir, Almost Invisible, came out in 2004.
• Tom Flaherty
  Tom is a sports writer with a wry humorous twist to his work.

  Dan wrote a nonfiction guidebook about life in the Red Lodge area.

  This Billings author wrote the book Waking Lazarus is a Christian novel set in Red Lodge, which has won several awards.

  Don is a poet who wrote Perched Within My Heart.
• Bruce Jensen
  Bruce and his wife, Paula, wrote the Montana Campfire Companion.
• Sarie Mackay
  Sarie published her first novel in 2007, a work of historical fiction set in late 19th century Montana.
• Shirley McJunkin
  Red Lodge author Shirley McJunkin started with a memoir and then moved into writing novels.
• Jay Mennenga
  Jay writes historical and inspirational books.
• Chuck Murphy
  Chuck writes cowboy and inspirational poetry.
• Chuck Neal
  Chuck is the author of Grizzlies in the Mist, a nonfiction book about Yellowstone bears.
• Gary D Robson
  Gary is one of the owners of Red Lodge Books, and he writes a variety of nonfiction and children's books. He's currently working on his 20th book.

  Norm has two books of poetry out, along with a children's coloring book. He expects his third poetry book to come out in 2007.

  Diane has written two award-winning historical novels, one of which won the Montana Book Award in 2003.
